Money Blocks in the Ego Center: The 4 Fears Sabotaging Your Growth
Also called the Will Center or Heart Center
The Ego Center, also called the Heart or Will Center, may be small… but its influence is massive. It’s the seat of willpower, self-worth, and your relationship with money and success.
Whether it’s defined, undefined, or open, this center has a profound way of shaping the stories you tell yourself about your value and whether you believe you’re “enough” to receive abundance.
If your Ego Center is defined (coloured in), you likely have a strong sense of your worth. You don’t need anyone else to validate it—it’s just there, steady and consistent.
But here’s the twist: sometimes, you might shy away from sharing your accomplishments, testimonials, or magic because you don’t want to come across as “too much.” You may even avoid celebrating your wins or promoting yourself because you fear it might alienate others.
On the flip side, some with a defined Ego can lean too far into showcasing/proving their worth, which comes across as overly boastful and alienates people. It’s a balancing act.
If your Ego is undefined or open (uncoloured/white), the struggles tend to go in the opposite direction. You might question your worth constantly, swinging between confidence and deep unworthiness. It can feel like no matter how much you achieve, it’s never enough to prove you deserve abundance.
This can lead to comparison, playing small, and shrinking away from sharing your wins or testimonials because you feel they’re “not good enough.”
But no matter how your Ego is wired, it isn’t broken.
The fears and struggles that show up in this center are just shadows, survival stories trying to keep you safe.
But the truth? The truth lives in the empowered side of each gate.
Ego Center Gates Money Blocks Explained
Let’s dive into the gates of the Ego Center and explore how they might be shaping your money story—and what’s possible when you step into their empowered expression.
Gate 21 – Control
Fear of Losing Control
Gate 21 feels like a clenched fist. It’s the fear of losing control that whispers, “If you don’t hold it all together, things will fall apart.”
This gate craves order and structure, especially around resources—money, time, energy. But the truth is—when we grip too tightly, trying to micromanage every detail, we’re building a cage instead of a foundation.
This fear blocks abundance because wealth needs space to flow.
What if you trusted enough to loosen your grip?
What if delegating, taking risks, and letting go weren’t signs of losing control but acts of radical faith in yourself?
Gate 26 – Integrity
Fear of Being Seen as Manipulative
Known as the “Gate of the Salesperson,” Gate 26 is about persuasion and sharing value. But the shadow of this gate is the fear of being seen as manipulative… as though advocating for yourself, your cause, and your gifts somehow means you’re taking advantage of others.
This fear whispers, “What if they think I’m not honest? What if they reject me and walk away thinking the worst about me?”. And this is how this fear stops you from self-promotion, and thus blocks the money flow.
But when you sell from integrity—when you show up rooted in your truth—you’re not manipulating anyone… You’re inviting them into something meaningful, beneficial, even transformational!
Undercharging? Avoiding the spotlight? Not sharing your testimonials and accomplishments? That’s not humility—it’s self-abandonment.
Step up. Share boldly. Trust your worth.
Gate 40 – Aloneness
Fear of Overworking or Isolation
Gate 40 is associated with working hard to support others and find belonging, but it also has a tendency toward burnout. This gate’s fear can manifest as a reluctance to prioritize rest and self-care, leading to cycles of overworking to “earn” worthiness.
But burnout isn’t a badge of honor… It’s a signal that you’re walking towards a living hell instead of the dreamy success you’re after.
Gate 40’s fear blocks your money flow by making you feel that wealth requires constant effort and sacrifice, keeping you from actually scaling through working smarter and setting up both the boundaries, and the systems and automations that would allow for sustainable growth.
The smartest, most successful entrepreneurs got there because they know how to set boundaries, rest deeply, and delegate like a boss.
When you let go of overworking, you can then focus all your energy on doing what only you can do, which is what really matters in creating true wealth.
So set those boundaries (with yourself as much as others), prioritize self-care so that you can stop pouring from an empty cup, and let ease lead the way.
Gate 51 – Shock
Fear of Taking Bold Risks
Gate 51 is all about bold moves, courageous leaps, and making waves. But let’s be real—big risks feel scary AF. So the fear here is that stepping out of your comfort zone will lead to failure, rejection, or instability.
This fear can hold you back from pushing boundaries in your business, whether that’s launching a new offer, raising prices, or stepping on stages.
But business, in it’s essence, is ALL about risk taking and going all out.
This is why smart people succeed less often—they overthink and go into analysis paralysis. On the flip side, high school drop outs succeed more often because they are comfotable with risk, and they aren’t blocked by shame and the thought of “What will they think of me if I fail?”… They just don’t give a fuck, and that’s why they run circles around smart people.
(I know cuz I’m the smart risk-averse one who blocked herself until I snapped and realized that there is no other way but through. So I did a lot of subconscious and nervous system rewiring to get over this)
You’re not here to play safe. You’re here to live this one life fully, and to enjoy it’s pleasures before humanity destroys itself… so do the things, shamelessly and fearlessly 💥
P.S. If you’re here, I know you’re also BIG hearted and caring. You have solutions that leave your clients better, and the people around them are impacted by that too. So you’re not selling BS or scams… and that’s why YOU deserve to succeed more than anyone!

This sounds interesting! Great bio btw.
My ego center is undefined. I do question my worth constantly, and I swing between confidence and unworthiness. This attitude definitely leads to comparison, playing small, and feeling I’m not good enough or that what I do is not that complex or valuable. Gate 26 is colored in my chart, and MAN, DON’T I RESONATE WITH YOUR WORDS! Right now, I’m working on re-framing my thoughts and updating my nervous system, so hopefully, this fear will lose its power over time. Thank you so much for sharing this! I truly appreciate it.
